The managing director of this equipment sales division is John Saunders himself. He has enjoyed a long and varied history in the music and event sectors of the entertainment industry... and this has provided him and his team with invaluable knowledge, expertise and practical experience.

It was around 1984 that John first began his involvement with sound, lighting and staging and over the years he progressively expanded his business operation, client base and areas of the United Kingdom served. Later, in 2001, he started John Saunders Productions which had phenomenal success. By 2004 the company had moved into the field of mobile stage hire and mobile stage rental and again was soon making positive in-roads into the market place.

The staging side of his business quickly expanded to meet the need of increasing demand, with the introduction of both 8-metre and 10-metre trailer stages that could serve the needs of a wide variety of outdoor events.

John had always had a thriving sound design and sound installation side to the business, providing sound systems for such as Swan Lake on Ice, Sleeping Beauty on Ice, Cinderella on Ice, Solid Silver 60s, Night at the Opera, Glen Campbell, Magic of the Musical, Australian Bee Gees, What A Feeling John Mayall, The Spencer Davis Group, Showaddywaddy and 10cc. Then, in 2004, John Saunders Productions made the break into London's West End with their highly acclaimed Sound Design Services. Their first production here was Thriller Live at the Lyric Theatre, now followed by The Rat Pack - Live at Las Vegas at the Adelphi Theatre. In addition, they are now on tour across the UK, Europe and the World with Thriller Live.

Now in 2009, and based on such a long history of practical experience, Saunders Sound has been established to provide an online showroom for the sale of low-cost, high-quality, new and ex-hire used sound and other equipment. We hope you enjoy browsing through our new website as it develops.
